Foresters outlast Blues in slugfest, 11-7

The San Luis Obispo Blues baseball team was defeated by rival Santa Barbara Foresters, 11-7, in a CCL battle Thursday night at Sinsheimer Park.

The two teams combined for 11 runs the first three innings, and while the Blues held a small lead through the middle frames, the Foresters rallied with six unanswered runs the last two innings to seal the victory.

This was the last meeting of the summer between the two Central Coast squads.

SLO (28-16, 16-15) will host the Orange County Riptide for two games on Friday, July 19 – start times are 4 P.M. and 6 P.M.
